Dragons Win Conference Match Over Binghamton, 30-15

Binghamton, N.Y. – Drexel wrestling defeated Binghamton in a Colonial Athletic Association match, 30-15. The win improved the Dragons' record to 4-2 (2-0 CAA) on the season while the Bearcats fell to 2-4.
Binghamton forfeited the opening match at heavyweight and found itself in a 10-0 hole after Steve Mytych (Wyoming, Pa./Northampton) defeated Mike Kleeman with a 14-4 major decision. Binghamton stormed back as the Bearcats took the next three matches, two of them with pins. With Binghamton ahead 15-10, Ryan Hluschak (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh) earned a major decision at 157 pounds while Billy Haydt (Bath, Pa./Northampton) followed with a win by fall at 1:45 of his 165-pound match to give the Dragons a 20-15 lead. Nick Kozar (Derry, Pa./Derry Area), Justin Terhune (Sevens Valley, Pa./Dallastown) and Jon Oplinger (Bath, Pa./Northampton) won the last three matches of the meet to seal the Dragons' fourth victory of the season.
Drexel will return to action on December 17 when the Dragons will travel to Clarion, Pa. to participate in the Clarion Duals. The first match will start at 11:00 a.m.
